Cumbria’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Peter McCall has issued a statement following the death of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh:

“After a lifetime of exceptional and distinguished service to our country and Commonwealth in peace and war, God bless The Duke of Edinburgh and may he rest in peace.

“I offer my deepest condolences to Her Majesty the Queen and the whole of the Royal Family. My thoughts and prayers are with them at this difficult time.”
