University of Cumbria/Street games UK Cumbria Youth Crime Prevention Conference

This conference seeks to bring together a multi-disciplinary perspective towards youth crime prevention in Cumbria, with examples of sport highlighting the role of one service in making a difference to young people’s lives. However, sport alone does not hold all the answers to youth crime and anti-social behaviour, given the multi-faceted nature of the problems young people ‘at risk’ contend with in their lives. We hope – through interactive workshops involving contributions from academic and industry experts and practitioners from sport, health & social care, policing, education, outdoor adventure, housing and children and families – that issues can be discussed and effective joined-up solutions proposed.
